# Explore ProxyAtlas providers

1. Use GET https://proxy-atlas.com/api/providers?q=<name-or-description>&type=<type> to find providers. Omit filters for the complete directory. Types are all, Residential, Datacenter, ISP and Mobile. URL-encode query values.
2. Read GET https://proxy-atlas.com/api/providers/<slug> for a listed provider's public profile, source links and dated service status.
3. Cite profileUrl and the original sourceUrl. Include checkedAt and each service's reporting period when quoting uptime.
4. Provider-reported status snapshots, not live monitoring or independent speed benchmarks. Preserve source URLs, check times, service names and reporting periods. Missing status is unknown, not downtime. Directory order is not a performance ranking.

The API needs no credentials or registration. MCP clients can instead connect to https://proxy-atlas.com/mcp and call search_providers or get_provider. Read https://proxy-atlas.com/docs/api for response fields and https://proxy-atlas.com/auth.md for access details.

Do not infer latency, speed rankings, live availability or private measurements from this directory. These tools only read public information; analytics signup needs the person's explicit consent.
